Miracle Moore is a doctoral student in Counseling Education at Mississippi State University and a Graduate Research Assistant with the Career Horizons Project (CHP). She earned her master’s degree in Counseling Education with a concentration in Rehabilitation Counseling from Mississippi State University and her bachelor’s degree in Sociology with minors in Psychology and Marketing from the University of Southern Mississippi. Her professional interests include rehabilitation counseling, disability advocacy, community outreach, mental health, and improving access to employment and community resources for individuals with disabilities.

Miracle’s previous experience working with Tennessee State Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) allowed her to support individuals with disabilities as they navigated employment, rehabilitation services, and community resources. Her work in vocational rehabilitation strengthened her interest in community outreach, building partnerships, and connecting individuals with opportunities that support independence and meaningful employment. In her role with CHP, Miracle is excited to continue engaging with communities, developing partnerships with employers and organizations, and supporting competitive integrated employment for individuals with disabilities, including individuals impacted by Long COVID. She hopes to use her experiences in rehabilitation counseling, community outreach, and research to advocate for more accessible and disability-affirming communities.
